Reid's Story
Passion for Florals
From a fairly early age, Reid took a strong interest in the art of floral design. He worked after school during his high school years in his aunt’s florist. After graduating from high school, he continued to work at the florist while attending college classes at the local community college. In 1987 he found an opportunity to purchase his own flower shop in Snow Hill, NC. It was at the Flower Cart in Snow Hill where he began to build his reputation for specializing in wedding florals. Over the course of ten years he grew the wedding side of his business to the point where, when he decided to close the retail shop and follow other interest, he continued to get calls from previous customer referrals to decorate weddings and larger events. He has continued to use his floral skills for many weddings and events since he closed the retail shop in 1996.
He has decided to continue his work upon retiring from the State of NC. With nearly a half century of floral design experience he will be booking limited engagements throughout the year. His strongpoints are expressed in the element of his design work with strong attention to detail and the engineering that goes into each creation.
